This advert is about a guy named Richie grey who plays for the Scotland rugby club, he looks like he is mid game and about to be tackled this is to show what sport he is playing and show how brutal and exhausting it is the conflict of this sport is its very energy draining but lucozade have the conclusion to this is the lucozade energy drink.
The camera shots used in this print ad is mid shot of the rugby player with a clear shot of th product.

introduction

for this assignment i will be working with my friend to create our own lucozade adverts, to do this i will be analyzing other adverts by the company.

TV advert analysis

Lucozade analysis
The Lucozade advert I am analyzing is 31 seconds long the people in this advert are all sportsmen; the sports which are played are rugby, bike racing and a marathon. In each of the sports there are people competing to win but the winner of each sport only wins by a few centimeters and in the background of them winning there is a bottle of Lucozade sports, the bottle just fits between the gap of the winner and the guy in second place, this suggest if you drink that drink you will be better at the sport you do, the people in the advert are just normal people who are competing in sports they like to do.
There are many different camera shots used in this advert, here are actually 24 to be precise and they are all used to show something off in the advert , the majority of the shots are action shots, this is just to show what exactly is going on in the advert and so you can see the action of the sports which are shown, all of the shots are quite low so you can see how the energy of the people in the advert are mainly using the energy they have but there are only 4 product shots, 3 of them are when the person who wins is a few centimetres in front of their opponent and the focus in on the product between the two contenders. The last shot of the product is showing it off at the end of the advert, the shot which is used for the product is a wide shot with extra writing to show off the product off more.
The mise-en-scene of this ad is set in 3 different places the first place is a rugby field which is very muddy and had a dark look to it this dark look is consistent throughout the whole advert like in the bike race the indoor track is dimly lit but this adds a good effect to the advert and the marathon race is set on a cold rainy day, the floor is wet through this is them keeping the moody look to the advert.
The target audience for this advert is males aged 18-30, you can tell this by the people in the advert all being males and they all look quite young, but this doesn’t meant that the product will just catch the eye of males some females will like the advert and go out and buy he drink as well.

The sounds in this advert is a fast beating music to match the pace of the sports which are being done the music fits rather well and sound like music you listen to if you was going for a run but, at the end there is a man who is a voice over he doesn't say anything about the product but what he says and the image on the screen suggest that he says by this and you’ll be better at what you do. The only use one advertising technique in this advert and this technique is promise a benefit, this technique is self-explanatory but this is used to say buy our product and you can do so and so.

if you'd like to watch the ad i used here is the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ius4v5-5UXU
